James Anderson Bids Farewell to Test Cricket, Receives Acclaim from Cricket Legends
After announcing his retirement from Test cricket on Friday, England’s fast bowling icon James Anderson received widespread praise from some of the greatest names in cricket.
Anderson, 41, concluded his illustrious Test career as the third-highest wicket-taker in the history of the game. He took four wickets in his final match, bringing his career total to 704 wickets, only behind Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralidaran and Australia’s late Shane Warne.
England secured a dominant victory over the West Indies by an innings and 114 runs in Anderson’s farewell Test.
